Leonie Gilbert is a Life Movement Educator with extensive experience, qualifications and knowledge in motivating individuals to stay active throughout their lives, and in doing so, improve their long term quality of life. Her primary focus is to explore, guide, and support people in maintaining movement, helping them live their healthiest, strongest and most active lives.

She is passionate about solving these key questions that each of us face at certain times in our lives:

Why can it be hard to find the motivation to move our bodies?

We all know the benefits of moving!

It improves our mood, contributes to the prevention and management of diseases, enhances brain health and makes us physically stronger for day-to-day activities.

So why don’t we move more?

As young kids we loved running, jumping, climbing. We never wanted to stop. In fact, we were often told to “stop running in the house”, “slow down”, or “sit down”.

Why did this change throughout our life?

Can we find this same joy in moving again?

My aim is to explore, guide and support you in finding the joy in moving. The greater enjoyment we receive from an action, the more likely we are to do it again.

As a child, I didn’t enjoy reading. My mum sat me down and forced me to read my English school books! However, this changed - now I love it. Why? As a child, I just hadn’t discovered the books that I actually enjoyed.

Movement is the same!

Everybody needs to discover what movement gives them joy!

I am confident I can help you do that. I will support you in exploring types of movement that you enjoy, barriers that may be hindering you, motivation ideas and strategies which allow you to continue the momentum to move regularly.

Keeping active helps your mind, body and soul by supporting you to grow and develop into the best version of yourself.
